Overview
The Diploma in Computer Science (Information Technology) programme combined both theory and practical with competencies skills such as computer hardware management, algorithm, data structures and networking, C/ C++ / Java and Mobile programming, website development, software design and development and its related up-to-date technologies. The systematic development of innovative thinking and creative problem-solving skills are also emphasized in the programme.
Students will be trained not only in the technical areas but also self-disciplines, communication and entrepreneurship skills. By applying knowledge in computer science and Information Technology (IT), students will also be able to do planning on IT infrastructure, to solve technical problems and provide IT support in an organization. Students will gain valuable industry exposure and the real-life working experience to keep abreast with industry practices and requirements via industrial training.
The graduates may also further their studies in Bachelor of Computer Science or any other related fields at a local or foreign university.
Minimum Entry Requirements
Pass SPM/SPMV or its equivalent with at least THREE (3) credits including Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, and ONE (1) other subject as approved by UTM.
Notes: Students with three (3) credits in SPM are required to take two (2) pengukuhan subjects as per UTM requirement.
