The 9th Convocation Ceremony of Perak College of Technology

The 9th Convocation ceremony of Perak College of Technology (KTP) was held at Impiana Hotel, Ipoh at 8.30am on 4th May 2019 (Saturday). The ceremony was to honour graduates from across all academic and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes offered by the institution.

The 9th Convocation ceremony was officiated by Yang Teramat Mulia Raja Dato’ Seri Eleena Binti Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Al-Maghfur-Lah, Chairperson of Perak College of Technology. The event was held in two (2) sessions throughout the day; Morning Session at 8.30am till 12.30pm followed by the Afternoon Session at 2.00pm till 5.30pm.

This year a total of 720 students graduated and 495 students are from various Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) and Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) programmes, 58 students from homegrown Diploma programmes and 167 students from various Diploma programmes offered through collaboration UTM & UiTM. During the last 8th Convocation ceremony in 2017, the college hosted 998 students from both academic and TVET programmes.

“The journey of gaining knowledge has no boundaries, learning is a continuous process in which students and graduates must be open-minded and willing to learn new skills even beyond the academic context. With the certificate, diploma or degree acquired, I recommend that our graduates always take every available opportunity to enhance their skills and master their knowledge in various disciplines. Make every challenge you face as a benchmark to move forward. Next, harness your expertise and become a productive generation, contribute to the well-being and prosperity of your family, community and the nation.
